W. Price Roe

Former U.S. Department of Homeland Security

W. Price Roe is a renewable energy investor and advisor, serving as Board Advisor at Shift Energy and Principal Advisor at Slayton Capital.  Specific investments the last ten years include solar and biomass systems in Japan, Taiwan, and Vietnam; water filtration/purification systems in India; commercial energy control systems in SE Asia; small modular reactor (SMR) nuclear plants in Canada, and a variety of software startups including patient safety platforms for hospital systems.

 

After spending the first part of his career in management consulting, Mr. Roe transitioned to national security in the wake of the 9/11 attacks on the U.S.  During his time in the federal government, he served at the U.S. Department of Justice as senior policy advisor to the CIO; the Directorate of National Intelligence as Policy Team Director for the Information Sharing Environment; and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Counselor to Secretary Michael Chertoff.  He also served as a delegate to Venezuela with the American Council for Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) and was a Marshall Fellow in Europe with the German Marshall Fund of the U.S.

 

Mr. Roe holds a BA from Colgate University, an MBA from Harvard University, and a Masters in International Relations and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong.
