Dan Brown

Former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement 

Dan Brown is a partner at the Washington, DC office of Fragomen, the largest immigrant law firm in the world and is part of the firm’s Global Strategies and Compliance Group. In this position, Dan counsels corporate clients on business immigration, compliance and enforcement matters, and focuses on I-9 and E-Verify issues.

Prior to joining private practice, Brown held senior positions at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). He served in the DHS General Counsel’s Office as the Deputy Associate General Counsel for Immigration. From 2005 to 2006, he served as Counselor to the Assistant Secretary and then Director of the Office of Policy and Planning at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Dan is a co-author of Immigration Compliance and Best Practices, published by the American Bar Association.

Brown holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center.
